Greens (WA) spokesperson for Transport, Tim Clifford MLC, participated in Ride2Work Day 2018 to show his support for cyclists and encourage the movement for change. He is campaigning for better infrastructure, and wants to bring about a change that will see improvements not just for transport, but for the environment and public health.

Tim Clifford at Ride2Work Day BreakfastAs part of the Ride2Work Day, Bicycling Western Australia (BWA) hosted a breakfast at Elizabeth Quay. Exhibitors in the area promoted infrastructure and health, and provided education and cycling equipment.

Ride2Work Day not only encourages people to ride to work themselves, but it also asks them to encourage their friends and family to join in as well.

With the major parties failing to provide adequate funding and infrastructure for commuter cyclists, the work of organisations like BWA is crucial.

The Greens have a plan to make Perth safer and more accessible for cyclists, to create a healthier, cleaner and more connected city. You can read more about our #BikeVision here.
